Probably a tie between the moment in the tourney when prince Cailan took out his left eye, and the moment when his glass eye popped out at a fancy noble party and not a minute after it rolled under a buffet table where a dog was sleeping, ANORA WALKED UP. And she started talking to him. He was nervously covering his eye the entire time. His habit of loosing his glass eye caused Rupert to invest in a whole jar of them.

43. Rupert’s features are all fairly striking. He has a longish, slighty crooked, pointy nose, scars all over him (the most grisly ones around his empty eye socket), fair skin, black hair, and his remaining eye is a striking shade of deep blue.

14. When his mother stopped hiding him from the Templars, he ran away from home and into a giant forest. He was knocked from horseback by low-hanging branches and passed out. He woke up at a campsite with a Dalish elf in Warden armor tending to the campfire. That’s how he met his wife. He’s so embarrassed about the trees defeating him that he tells people that his wife rescued him from twenty wild sylvans.
